In conjunction with the Carroll County Board of Education, the Carroll County Sheriff Office, Hampstead, Taneytown, and Westminster City Police present drug and alcohol education classes to all 8th thru 12th grade students. The curriculum provides students with accurate information about drugs and alcohol. It teaches them the physical, legal and social consequences of substance abuse, and also provides students with resistance skills and techniques. Deputies and officers also discuss a variety of other topics such as bullying and internet safety.
